In May, hubby had a few days off (a rare event), so we decided to check out the beautiful Ras Al-Khaimah. Amazing emirate!
I love traveling, and I know how crucial and indispensable the travel-size editions of my favorite beauty products are.
Indeed, travel-size skincare products allow us to test new products and discover other obsessions. Buying the travel-size allows us to sample these new additions to our skincare and haircare rituals without committing to a full-sized purchase.
And don’t we just love it when there is a free travel-size item in our shopping cart at the checkout?!
Moreover, for loyal fans of specific brands, travel-size editions hold immense value. When we find a beauty product that works wonders for our skin or hair, it becomes a part of our daily lives, and we become attached to its efficacy and benefits. In such cases, the travel-size versions become prized possessions, ensuring we never part with our beloved beauty must-haves, even while traveling.
Travel-size products offer the convenience of portability and space-saving and allow us to maintain our familiar beauty routines and continue experiencing the positive effects of tried-and-true brands.
So, these were the travel-size goodies in my luggage, curated for this little trip to Ras Al-Khaimah:
Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm: testing this product for the first time and just love it. It does an amazing job removing makeup, dirt, sunscreen, and sand, and it has the best result any woman can ask for: baby skin. I had their Cleansing Foam before, and between these two, I’m counting down the days until I get this Thermal Balm’s super full size.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops: testing this product for the first time, obviously, no surprise here! It’s just as exceptional as all Glow Recipe products – definitely a good investment in the full size. After a good day under the sun, the Dew Drops help repair the skin, leaving it plump and nourished. Oh, I must remember to mention that it leaves the same delicious feel and smell as all their Watermelon skincare collection.
111Skin Oxygen Express Mask: it’s always good to have a face mask with you on vacation, and a beach destination vacation demands extra care for sun-exposed skin, so bring a mask. It’s a mask I use once a week, so I need to give it time to notice the results; it’s my second use. I’m impressed, and I feel grateful because my skin tolerated it so well; no funny business, no irritations.
Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer: a reliable primer is essential for a flawless makeup application that lasts all day. I avoid makeup as much as possible (I’ve got enough reasons to write another blog post about this). But there are always the dinner date events when we are on vacation with our hubby, and we want to look pretty. More pretty. And so, I use this primer, and after this primer, I apply my super beloved Dr. Jart+ Correcting Treatment, a little mascara, and some blush, and I am so pretty. I love Laura Mercier; it did not disappoint me so far.
Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment: my old friend, my old addiction. It always stays on my site, in my bag, in my luggage, whatever I have. I can write a book about the good this treatment continues to do to my skin.
Sunday Riley Saturn Sulfur Spot Treatment Mask: I have mixed feelings about this spot treatment, yet I keep carrying it with me while traveling, just in case. Sunday Riley has impressive products, but this one still confuses me.
Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum is another “first time using it,” and I am definitely considering purchasing the full size and integrating this serum into my nighttime skincare routine. It’s the most fantastic feeling waking up to a Drunk Elephant’s complexion every morning of your vacation. This brand also produces fabulous cleansers.
Verso Skincare Eye Cream Extra Nourish because hubby and I love it; we both use it while we travel.
Travel-size Virtue Labs Healing Oil & K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask to keep my super fine hair nourished, protected, and frizz-free throughout the trip. And also because I’m addicted to both of them.
Kevin.Murphy Hydrate-Me.Wash; I avoid using the shampoos I find in the hotel rooms (unless they’re Molton Brown). I’m used to Kevin.Murphy shampoos, my hair loves it.
Sachajuan Scalp Conditioner: it smells sooo gooood, and you need a good, efficient conditioner when dealing with the salty sea breeze.
Peace Out. Acne Day Dot: surprise zit?! Fear not! Hubby and I love these patches.
Larry King Haircare A Social Life for Your Hair: I’ve been in a relationship with this product for almost three years. And I don’t know how I lived my life until now without it.
Oh, boy, did I go wild with my beauty routine on this little trip! I mean, who needs a suitcase full of clothes when you can pack a treasure trove of travel-size beauty products, right? I took a few chances with some newbies my skin hadn’t met before. But, guess what? My skin exhibited its adventurous spirit and showed NO signs of regret! It was almost like my skin was saying “Bring it on, I’m ready for anything!”
Last but not least, why do we need the travel size of our favorite beauty products when we travel? To save enough space in our luggage for the sunscreen protection creams and lotions, which always travel with us in super full sizes 🙂
