Back in June, I started scanning for heritage ingredients; I was looking at the Emirate’s cultural heritage and was left fascinated with all the new ingredients I found. Well, new ingredients for me, of course.
Moving to the UAE brought a world of change to my skincare routine. As someone with oily, combination, acne-prone skin, I was apprehensive about finding products that could adapt to the harsh sun, humidity, and sandstorms here.

I’ve been using this luxurious oil for over four weeks as part of my evening skincare routine, and the transformation in my skin is undeniable. I must admit I also use it after a day at the beach, sunbathing.
The texture is equally impressive – a lightweight yet deeply nourishing blend of the most amazing oils: jojoba, argan, apricot kernel, and rosehip seed oils. It glides effortlessly over the skin without leaving any greasy residue. Despite my oily, acne-prone skin, the oil absorbs quickly, balancing hydration without clogging pores. The vitamin E in the formula helps lock in moisture and reinforces my skin’s barrier, making it feel soft, smooth, and protected. Each application feels like an indulgent yet essential part of my skincare routine.
I avoid mixing retinol with any other acids or products. After the evening double cleanse, I apply retinol two or three nights per week, depending on how my skin looks and feels, and then I’m done with my skincare routine for the evening. On all other nights, I play around with acids or other ingredients. I applied the Frankincense and Myrrh Face Oil after Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant and The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%; on other nights, I used Juve’s face oil after Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner and Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops. Because of my super oily skin type, instinctively, I did not use hyaluronic acid together with the Frankincense and Myrrh Face Oil. Frankincense and Myrrh Face Oil works just perfectly on its own, and yes, there were nights when I was so tired, I just applied the oil and went to bed.
Frankincense and Myrrh are ancient Middle Eastern ingredients known for their healing properties, and I couldn’t have chosen better companions for my skin in this climate. What impressed me most was how it balanced my skin’s oil production.
